I'll have an attempt. Two groups of ferrets - one in the test group and another the control. The test group were infected with the virus by natural means, ie: spread from some experimentally infected to un-infected ferrets in close contact with the infected ones (a good way to conduct this sort of trial). They administered their anti-viral. by spray, to the ferrets in-contact with the infected ones and found that their medication stopped the disease developing in the in-contact ferrets. In the control group the disease spread unchecked between the experimentally infected ferrets and the in-contact ones (these not being treated with the nasal spray containing their therapeutic) This showed that the experimental conditions were sound and that the therapeutic had a positive impact in the experimentally infected group. That is it (the treatment) worked beautifully under these test conditions. So a highly promising development for them and, perhaps, a sign post for RCE.
