    CABG has a longer recovery time than coronary angioplasty and a higher risk of complications. But, some evidence suggests that CABG is usually a more effective treatment option for people with
    diabetes.

    @Hawk70

    I was referring to diabetic ischemics in the context of a receiving a LVAD device designed(or alternatively a vein graft in CABG) to reroutebloodflow.

    The opportunity to inject MSCS as an adjunctprocedure into the heart whilst undertaking a CABG patient procedure is an obvious potential market for mesenchymal stromal cells. I think you need to step back and research how phagocytosis works because it is you who has incorrectly quoted me in relation to “cleansing arteries“ . I have never said any such thing . I have a basic understanding of how MSCs display a protective role through paracrine signalling , which helps in reducing endothelial dysfunction, hyperlipidemia and inflammation. If you want to lecture us on how the resident macrophages engulf the MSCs cells and subsequently contribute to this phenomenon by plaque stabilisation to reduce strokes , i am all ears.
    In the meantime rest assured, that if I have been clumsy or fluffy in my use of words,( which has been known on occasion ) as i am not medically qualified , the meat of my post is that the CABG market, for those with end stage heart disease is a valuable opportunity for Mesoblast to inject its cells into patients who need them …although Mesoblast would obviously never promote such usage without appropriate trials or labelling being first agreed with the FDA. Rather than insult me further, perhaps you would be so kind as to speak to the Company directly because I did directly ask them about the opportunity myself. I am sure they could explain better the message I am trying to convey. Rest assured, the CABG market is a massive potential opportunity …you have not been misled. If you want to ignore me ..please go ahead . This is not a paid gig ! I realise the main problem is that you couldn’t link the two procedures . Hopefully , I have conveyed the message more clearly ?
    If it makes you feel any better I have three close friends who have recently had either angioplasty, stents or sadly failed temporal by passes or (STA-MCA) as you will no doubt refer to them. The latter procedure was a world first , for someone who had two completely blocked carotid arteries and one of his two vertebral arteries also …Sadly it failed primarily owing to complications in pressure through the circle of Willis , so please don’t bother to lecture me too much…but some helpful corrections will always be gratefully received . Now i have explained further I think it is obvious we were talking at cross purposes, so I will not take offence ….much ! OP

    Please do not rely on the facts or opinions expressed in the above post. I am not a brain specialist , heart surgeon, or paid poster. I stay up all night and day trying to source and analyse pertinent facts to inform debate on this forum. If you want to take offence …you can go ….. ………..fill in the gaps .
