Imugene management has proven itself to take the necessary steps to get into an extremely powerful position. It’s also fair to say that some of those steps have resulted in a detrimental outcome for shareholders, and in isolation some of the actions we would have simply been better off without. On the whole it’s looking almost certain that success is now set- a matter of time until hugely lucrative returns are delivered to all involved.
A U.S. listing seems unnecessary at the moment. The golden rule for management surely must be to pacify shareholders in the short term with any major moves. If Paul Hopper fails to understand this point he is proving to be tone deaf and might find himself out if a job at the end of the year. Is his best work behind?
The devil is in the detail. If the listing is structured well it may be an immediate uplift, if however it’s a dog of a deal, like the last placement, it will raise further question as to the corporate wisdom within a genius medical science company.
