I think it provides a perfect example of what many here have been trying to get across.
Holders of one viewpoint inevitable feel the opposing viewpoint is close-minded. We are all subject to bias and preconceptions and live our lives strongly influenced by our personal anecdotal experiences. Yes, even doctors, abdm!
But being able to step back and look with a scientific perspective is vital if we are not to descend further into a kind of mediaeval world of witchcraft, driven by ignorance and magic.
This debate is valuable, and I hope not taken personally by any participants, even if such debates get heated at times.
