Ibby, do yourself a favour and sell your stocks. If you fear another financial crisis (which there will be plenty more in lifetimes to come, they are inevitable) then you should not be in the stock market. There will be many more crashes and many more booms. If the US crashes or any market for that matter...not just one market gets hammered...all markets do. The fact that PBT of is Prima list will make no difference. The ASX will get hammered regardless.
Precious metals and biotech will outperform any sector in times to come.
People worry (emotions) too much about the share price rather than what the company is about and doing (fundamentals).
If the SP rises then everyone looks for the positives and cheers. When it starts heading south people seem to look atthe negatives.
HOT TIP: step back and forget the share price for a second. Look at the technology, the company and the trend in the field of oncology..
Unless any of these change (if you are a med-long term holder) then who cares what the share price is doing.
Do you think people in DNDN cared if they bought in at $4.20 or $3.50?
As long as they were in the stock then probably not.
Weak hands will get slaughtered in this stock. I have already given the warning of using a stop loss. Biotech stocks get hammered and manipulated near clinical trials dates.
Check DNDN on the 2 times prior to the Phase 3 trials they had.
The share price got pushed down both times.
How many stop losses do you think got hit?
How many people you think sold when they saw it start going south?
Plenty I bet and they would still be kicking themselves no doubt or they would have had to buy again at a premium.
Learn from others mistakes, don't fall victim into thinking the share price of today is an indicator of the company that could be tomorrow (3+ years).
If the share price drops to 1c tomorrow but the fundamentals don't change for Prima would you consider it a dud stock or a buying opportunity?
Unless you are a trader then the way you answer that question will determine if you understand what is happening here and what you are actually invested in.
Forget the share price...this is biotech, it's volatile.
Until we are making money this stock will get traded like all f-k as the value of the company is opinionated rather than actual.
There are going to be times you wish you sold the lot after a run then rebought as it dipped 30%, then bought again before the next run and did the same.
Foresight is the key to success here.
