Hi Purple,
It would be interesting to know the proportion of shares allocated to each market. A GENE ADR is 30 GTG shares. Taking this into account, GTG was just 12%* of the volume of GENE. It may be the case that NASDAQ traders are better at turning over stock. If it's a bigger market then it will be harder to control in theory.

Are we wittnessing the GTG:ASX market transfer to the USA? There must be a base volume that needs to be maintained in order for it to be a proper functioning market. That may be a NASDAQ requirement. Questions that I may have to put to GT media liason person.

*Based on the 3 days volume starting with the bounce in volume on the 22nd of May on NASDAQ and the three days following on ASX.
