True story??

Belfast 1980:
It was getting close to the 8pm curfew time in Belfast and the citizens were hurrying to get home in time.
All of a sudden a gunshot rang out and one man dropped dead in the street.
Later at the inquest the British soldier was asked "Sergeant, how was it that you shot and killed a man 10 minutes before curfew time?"
The sergeant explained "Well I happened to know where the guy lived and I knew he wouldn't make it home in time"
