IMO Barnaby is the victor and so it is his rightful authority to do as he wishes re allocation of portfolios.
IMO also, I think this is a good move politically and likely pay divvies at the next election re his constituency.
As for skeletons in the cupboard - I think the electorate is now immune to this aspect - every man and his dog at all tiers of Govt seem to be jumping in and out of bed with all and sundry - be it male/female/alphabets/etc. In any case over 50% of marriages in this country end up in divorce!
At least Barnaby has found peace and happiness with his new wife.
