The University of Manchester (UK) is a leading centre for graphene research and has a new centre under construction due for completion next year. The new Institute will be the world's leading centre for graphene research.
The University's website states that graphene has the potential to revolutionise a number of diverse applications; from smartphones and ultrafast broadband to drug delivery and computer chips.
Some of the world’s leading companies are also expected to sign up to work at the NGI, where they will be offered the chance to work on cutting edge projects, across various sectors, with Nobel Laureates and other leading members of the graphene team.
Interesting that TLG was represented at a conference in Manchester earlier this year. Perhaps it was coincidence that the conference was held there, then again there just might be more to come on this story for TLG shareholders.
