We have an opportunity to watch from afar how NZ fares under the weight of Jacinda’s aspirations.

There may be services for more at an overall lower level affluence ... the benevolent state outcome.

Or,

the country may blow up under the weight of government debt and the stupifying effect of excessive middle class welfare.

And for the record, I didn’t say history would view Turnbull kindly, I said it would view Turnbull as an opportunity lost (and I agree with @pauljbo470 that a good leader should be able to focus the troops)
