Have you looked at the photos of samples from drill core from AVB and CDU? Do they look the same to you?

CDU has raw copper metal, same as you get from plumbing at Bunnings. AVB clearly show chunks of malachite and copper oxide. Absolutely nothing the same. So, its not unreasonable if one sample looks like ductile malleable metal easily deformed under pressure, and another looks like gravel or stone, you might imagine they handle differently during drilling under RC.

Because oxidised native copper, and unweathered native copper have "native copper" in their names, they are not the same thing. There no examples at all on AVB site showing anything at all of similar physicals as the CDU samples.
