native copper - tiptoeing around the topic??, page-17

5shareholder the key here is the coarse Native copper nuggets (extent within the ore is unique to the Rocklands deposit compared to AVB etc), and how their high grade interpretation was completed by the jorc consultants H&S.

What it comes down to is the interpretation of the drill data provided by Cudeco by H&S.

When they (H&S) did their geological interpretation of the data they could have easily put a higher weighting on the high grade NCu zones.

The drill data shows the NCu nuggets to be continuous and consistent (especially in the high grade zones in Las Minerale), hence the data can be relied upon (the metallurgy results and vertical grade control holes required for the plant design further back this up).

The reality is that H&S have simply decided that they would put a lower weighting on these high grade NCu results. It doesn' mean the NCu isn't there, its just the way they've determined it within the jorc code.

I believe they have tried to be ultra conservative when dealing with the NCu nuggets in the deposit as it is unique in this regard. Treated as a 'nugget effect' if you like.

H&S could have just as easily put a high grade weighting on the NCu drill data, and it would have been within the requirements of the jorc code.

For example Bendigo mining used their limited drill data and decided the nuggets of gold in their resource were continuous throughout the resource. They decided to put a high grade weighting on their data and came up with 14g/tonne.
We now know when they went to mine it the grade was 1.5g/tonne.
Keep in mind Bendigo's initial number was done under jorc guidelines with the multiple indicator kriging and geological interpretation by the consultants etc.

It just shows how WRONG the result can be if you've got an unusual deposit.
They had one with lots of Au nuggets and Au veins, and they really needed to do a lot more drilling.

The irony here is Cudeco have done the drilling and have the NCu data to support their high grade plant design.

They even drilled to 12.5m spacing and showed the high grade zones were consistent throughout as they know they've got an unusual deposit.

H&S have simply made their interpretation (within jorc guidelines) and put a low weighting on these high grade NCu zones.

H&S are within their right to do this under the JORC code, but you need to understand thats a major reason why the true extent of Native Copper just isn't accounted for within the jorc.

The RC drill bits inability to capture coarse native copper nuggets is fact. Perhaps speak with a driller who's worked on the orebody to understand better.

Maybe you could also contact H&S to discuss further. That would be a good piece of due diligence if you are indeed an interested investor....
