Whilst I am happy with the Lib/Nat outcome you have to feel a little for Alan Carpenter. His efforts to clean the Labour party up and the poisonous influence Burke had over his staff, it proved to be a bad decision as far as holding onto power. With two of his former ministers booted out, stood as independents then gave their preferences to the Nats (Bowler) and the Libs (D'orazio). Brian Burke himself must be smarting from this result.
