    I believe there have been genuine issues in horticulture sections, but to think the smaller private sector does not do bad things to growers is to be naive - but codes of conduct do need to be introduced and or improved

    Even yesterday Coles made out it was being generous in making an improvement in payment to suppliers -did they make it 30 day terms instead of 60 day?...no!

    ----but apparently if an order was short in quantity or defective from suppliers (including fruit and veg but also other suppliers) , they would deduct the equivalent amount from any outstanding invoice (as in from prior deliveries, invoiced but not yet paid by Coles!)...the fact they even did that was unreal...so now any deductions will apply to the invoice which was short or actually defective
