as for nuclear, I'm persuaded that Dutton is right in the idea. Aus will need nuclear energy to effectively replace coal fired generation. the only problem for Dutton is he hasn't presented any detail and seems to not know the details of nuclear energy.... really only a thought bubble as yet.

how the blazes are we going to ensure theres sufficient energy production for the future needs, with the assessed expectation that Aus will need at least 3 x as much energy production by 2050. neither side are capable of developing the system to ensure business and communities don't face blackouts.

Baseload coal is going broke in 2024 due to the increased competition from renewables .

Explain to the forum how a more expensive version of baseload coal , aka baseload nuclear, will compete with a 100% renewable grid in 2040 .

Don't bother with the waffle .

Just post the numbers.
