The real problem with the idea that Greenland would gain wealth and independence via their fishing, and other industries is that there is not enough of a population base to generate enough wealth. If they could they would be the most productive workers on the face of the planet, by far! Not possible! They must have an external force generating that wealth. Where would the Middle East countries be if they had no oil?
Greenland also has that external force: Minerals, oil & gas, and other vast wealth producers that they must exploit in order to generate the prosperity they desire. There is no other way. Hopefully the people are beginning to realize this.
The real problem with the idea that Greenland would gain wealth...
