again, some of us just miss the point
Naru or anywhere else on earth is a hellhole if you are there by force and without freedom
why this simple concept is beyond the ability of right wingers is beyond me
is it just too simple to grasp???
As to Naru itself ---------- well, if one were 'welcome' there and could live freely -- I would say it would be a country mile in front of the USA
Yes you do miss the point Pintohoo.
They are there because they chose to try to enter our country illegally.
Why this simple concept is beyond the ability of left wingers to understand is beyond me. Is it that hard to understand???
They have been looked after at our expense and they have been found somewhere else to live, due to our generosity of spirit shown by our country.
When offered sanctuary elsewhere they want to go back to the hell hole of Nauru, or in the case of 70 still remaining they refused to go to the US even though they were granted asylum.
If they are really genuine refugees, they should be grateful to whoever is willing to take them, even if their welfare system is not as generous as ours.
As for being welcome there, read the article, the PM makes it veery clear that in the main they are welcomed, they can move freely on the island, they can work and have opened businesses etc.
