Koala, it is irrelevant whether they caused $1 million or $600 million.
If we weren't paying for it I would find it funny. Can't you see the irony in the whole situation??? The very people that cheated the system and jumped the queues are also not willing to play by our rules when entering our borders.
Would we really expect anything less from a group who believe they are "entitled" because they have payed their way here.
I wonder if those families who have "zack/nothing" to their names and living in a refugee camp on the border of a war torn country would appreciate a safe detention centre with tv's, computers, free health, some education.
I wonder if the family below, who can't afford to jump the queues, would appreciate some free health, comfortable beds, entertainment, etc. I wonder if this family would riot? My guess is the family below would give anything in the world to go to Nauru. Maybe a swap should be on the cards. Again, would we expect "boat people cheaters" to play by the rules?
