Navajo Chief, 39 km south of the mill
and 8 km west of Kalgoorlie, is planned
to be developed as an open cut mine
to deliver base-load soft ore.
Stage 1 operations are due to start in
January 2010 and run until June 2012. It
has a 30m pre-strip, a 5:1 strip ratio and

to produce 168 koz over three years.
Stage 2 is based on defined extensions
along strike. It is expected to deliver 4.0
Mt of similar grade and produce 205 koz

There is potential to extend mine life
further at depth and along strike.
