As an interested observer but a reluctant investor at these levels, I struggle to understand how Patersons got the gig to raise the $7 million. With ~400 million shares trades since late July (when the share price took off), Patersons has only bought 1.4 million and sold 1.8 million shares and account for 0.4% of the total trading activity. The allotment of the placement shares will be a good measure of whether this raise was in fact "substantially supported" by institutional investors or whether it was just a trading opportunity.
