The NBN Conroy dreams of will never see the light of day. The full rollout is not scheduled for some time; in the meantime we will get feedback from the target sites of poor takeup rates, and the kind of cost blow-outs we saw with Pink Batts and BER. I expect we will have another election in 2012 and this government will be consigned to the dustbin of history. PM Abbott will scrap the project, sell off the existing infrastructure [no doubt at a loss] and embark on the cyclical Liberal task of paying off Labor's debt, getting the economy back on its feet, and making Australians wealthy again.
I have always said Aussies need to experience a Labor federal government once - that is usually enough for the smart folk. of course, those who feed from the public teat continue voting for them - can'e imagine who else would!
