I guess what most people use the Internet for such as emails, downloads, face book, remote backups etc 1/2 sec is neither here nor there.
Especially if your alternative is dial up speed or a 300km trip to town or sending a chopper or tender boat out to a rig to pickup the survey data..
I feel the rocket is being moved to the launch pad so to speak
