the more one reads and learns the genesis of the NBN and the intended process going forward one can but conclude this is a farce of the highest order (regardless whether you think a national broadband network is a good idea or not)
I will have to review my "Yes Minister" DVDs to see which episode the mandarins crafted the NBN from.
The manadarins in Canberra are trying to move that cost needle more towards the TLS shareholder but the Australian taxpayer are keep on paying for this one over and over. Who wouldn't bet that the final cost would be (far) greater than $43B?
Like I said previously, this story needs to move from the business section to the front page to really get traction. The green party and independent senators really need to be targeted to shame them into explaining how they could even consider committing the tax payer to such a poorly planned idea.
