    Anecdotal outages, teething problems and node bottlenecks aside my guess is that the more fibre the better as bandwidth demands increase dramatically in future decades.

    For the time being wireless is a pretty good option because that technology is pretty good for our current requirements..... and this may be the case for the next 15 years or so. Why? Because the technology required to enable a generational jump in AI is still evolving and in the meantime, telcos can link their wireless nodes together with fibre ..... and continue to lay fibre at the business end of town.
