I also heard yesterday on the radio (not sure what station or sources) that the number of wireless NBN connections are set to double. NBN underestimated the amount needed by half and the money for the new revised upwards figures has already been approved.

The new costs were offset by savings in the fixed budget due to the cheapening of technology.

I can't verify this but it sounds promising.
