AFR interesting article: Senate logjam likely to delay Telstra bill - Dominic White with David Crowe.

The legal eagles may have warned Telstra directors they are open to be sued IF they agree to sell any assets into the NBN without certainty AND compensation.

How the federal government indicated amid negotiations last month that it would consider amending the laws to network so as to allow Telstra's board to sign a deal with the NBN without fear of being sued by shareholders.

Keep watch to see IF these amendments are tabled !

Perhaps need get our % together to formally instruct/vacate the board if they attempt to sign such agreement without presenting it for shareholder approval.

Are we seeing government by whim, by kneejerk reaction, by abuse of power, OR, seeing government by reason and rational debate of the serious issues arising...

The rhetoric flowing suggests the former... certainly time left for debate in the Parliament is NOT long enough for decent debate of the issues, and just extending the session before adjournment will not allow decent debate... decent debate requires a lot more facts about what is being proposed, not rhetoric...
