There are many houses with more than 1 comnnection as well.

Why would you need more than 1 connection in a household? 100Mb speed and you are going to ask for 2? That's like going to an all-you-can-eat and paying for two servings. There simply will not be 100% takeup. Many households do not have wired Internet now, why would they suddenly want it or need it when NBN comes out? Histroy of other countries show around a 30% uptake. Even if you make it 50%, you are very very short. There will be no business case for this, I am sure, once we actually get some detailed figures you can actually accurately use. When will those figures be forthcoming? NBN is an impending white elephant that will require enormous amounts of cash in subsidies to make it attractive for private enterprise to invest in it. Which begs the question, if you are going to pay $43bill for it, why sell it at all? As usual with Labor policy, it makes little to no sense. The only way it makes sense is understanding the true reason for this policy, and that's to suck mainly young people into voting for Labor on the back of this policy.
