im not sure how you can justify the roll out of fibre to 90pc of premises in australia on the grounds of business competitiveness?

i was under the impression our datacentres have access to bandwidth which is comparable to similar facilities worldwide? fibre has been available in these areas for many years.

as for SMB's, well most would have access to adsl2 these days?

sure, there is room for improvement (and there ALWAYS is, dont matter whether you are talking phone services or bread rolls) but does the australian tax payer need to foot the bill to roll 100mb fibre out to most of the country? just seems crazy to me.

i would positively love some charitable soul to run a fibre to my house and give me 100mb net access for the same price as im paying now. problem is it won't happen, and if im anything to go by most of the country wont want to pay the extra either.
