i am scared that you will believe the figures presented by the government, even being such an experienced trader.

it's recognized universally, or it's just your opinion? most businesses i know use telstra, nobody else can provide equivalent mobile coverage - and thats just one reason.

as someone with a $250/month internet budget, i'm sure you know how to use google. but i will give you a hand, check out "broadband choice" on whirlpool.net.au. it's great. off the top of my head - internode, iinet, tpg, exetel, optus all offer 20+mb adsl2 services. check them out.

i have spent a great portion of my life overseas, but granted i cant speak for the rest of HC's readership. and i have to say, i didn't come back with a blinkered "telstra must go down" attitude. in fact with the regulated wholesale services they are required to provide, i think their prices are quite reasonable. but hey, thats just my opinion.
