It is not a matter of NBNCO or satellite - the two are and should be inconjunction and complimentary with each other but as for newsat, yesterdays announcement says that the satellite shoot is already booked out and even newsat cannot move THEIR existing newsat customers off the foreign satellites due to capacity being full. they will wait for a later satellite to do this which is a great loss of revenue direct to newsat.
... the current telocoms copper network is too complex to sustain the advances in digitised gadgetry coming into vogue and therefore a fibre network is a essential, true and proper use of taxpayers money.
... see some recent tv docos on money/funding/finances - even those commentators are extolling the dangers of the private enterprise being not workable anymore.
