If one looks a little further ahead say, 4 years, long after the poor old Labor Party is reduced to 5 seats at the next election, then a very likely scenario, going on asset sales that have happened in the past, is the NBN will be SOLD OFF in order to pay off the cripplingly high loan cost of probably at least $250 billion.
Once in private hands (probably Chinese) the sky will be the limit for NBN charges.
