Many of the roads in country areas and in some regional areas would not have been built if the people who live there had waited for private enterprises to come in. I would dare o say many of the areas will still be without electricity.

Pretty crazy analogy. Our telephone costs have always been extremely high due to monopolic nature of Telstra. Do some world research to find out historically why telecommunications in other countries were so cheap compared to us.

Communications infrastructure development TODAY around the world is driven by private enterprise looking to make dollars. That's why South Korea's ambitous benchmark broadband rollout was predominantly funded by private enterprise, not taxpayers dollars.

We have a dumb government who only knows how to waste money. Maybe if one or two had worldy experience rather than union experience, they would be able to make smart rational decions.
