nbn - the fast just get faster

Is it just me or is NBN roll out plan for the next 3 years simply targeting easy pickings and many areas that actually don't need faster broadband now?

Many outer suburbs of many major cities have been completely overlooked.

Many of these suburbs are currently only able to access ADSL plans and now face a wait of over 3 years and possibly up to 10 years before faster internet is available.

To me it looks like the NBN will make many areas that already have access to ADSL2 quicker while neglecting the commuter belt suburbs.

10 years is a long time - if the NBN gets halted in it's tracks we could easily be left with a nation divided by the speed of their internet connections.

My personal opinion is that it is a planning disgrace.
