    If i remember correctly, the intent was for the government to fund about half of the $43B, with industry providing the rest, and when things are up and running, sell it for a profit.

    Go to the NBN website. You'll find a heading "Partners & Tenders"

    There are no partners.
    There is no business plan
    There is no cost analysis
    There is no ROI analysis
    Until you put all the costings on the table, no corporation will touch it.

    Why not a public offering? If it's such a good idea, wouldn't the 'mum & dad" investors want to get on board?

    Maybe it has something to do with ASIC requuiring full disclosure of the business model and everything that goes with it.

    I thought Julia would not commit to any spending unless she'd thoroughly scrutinised the costing.

    Guess she's been telling some porky-pies.
