NBN

Anybody hooked up to NBN yet?

I've been trying (and so have they - but in a different way) to hook up for the last 5 months and it has been the most unprofessional experience ever.

First they send someone to find out where the phone line is - they could not find it so they sent someone else to dig a 30 metre trench to lay an NBN conduit. Had to come from Townsville (I'm in Cairns) so you can imagine how much more that cost.

Then they sent someone to hook up the fibre optic cable from the front pit to the office.

Then the guys from Townsville came back because NBN did not believe they had dug the trench for the cable. Took pictures and drove back to Townsville

Then we had another team of 2 hook up the cable to an outside box.

Then we had another team of highly specialised individuals hook up the outside box with the inside box

We were then advised that they would be in between 8 and 12 on the 20th May to hook up the insiode box to our computer system

Still waiting - no communication!

and you wonder why NBN costs are blowing out!

Its a bloody disgrace - it would have taken 2 guys with half a brain, a half a day to do the lot

Anybody else have this trouble with NBN (No Bloody Nouse)?
