You're exactly right.

Poor execution of projects, negativity on the gold price, rising costs, mining taxes in Australia, Indonesia, West Africa etc, poor management and abysmal capital return.

With all those why invest in NCM unless you believe gold is going far higher in the long run (Which I do)?

I play with options on NCM but I won't buy in until it looks like management is actually interested in making a bit of money for shareholders.
