Crashy, I am not stupid. Warrants priced around 10c are not much good, not as good as etos. I buy them sometimes but regret it. I try to find half cent spreads at 20 or 1 cent spreads at 50 - which beats the pants off etos.
Warrants dont have a liquidity premium - they have a liquidity discount compared with etos. Some of them actually have real markets.
There are a few advantages to etos - much better range of products, and the mms are human and can be psyched. But the whole trade system is cumbersome and inflexible, and my broker doesnt make it any easier. The last three times I have tried to trade ETOs I have lost my temper and hung up in disgust. When waterhouse starts offering online trades and data and dropping their ridiculous margin requirements (100% for writing puts - why would you bother?) I might start trading ETOs again. I believe they are thinking about it.
