Retail holders have not much hope against these measures employed by the major players. When they start to play these games there is absolutely no regard to any fundamental company value or any other holder. Management appears powerless to stop it and so do the powers to be (or else it's just tolerated).

Just have to hold and let the games play out and once they're done perhaps restoration of fair value may ensue. (unless another party starts again).

Financing from elsewhere won't put a stop to it either since purchasing large parcels on market can be made and then it would start.

There's just too much top heavyness in many companies. Hard to provide any sort of resistance by small holders. AIMHO.
