Rare earths companies struggle as NdFeB better off

Chinese upstream rare earth miners forecast a worsening of their financials in the first half of 2016 as prices remain low and conditions difficult, while NdFeB suppliers expect a better situation overall. Rare earths guidance prices remain unchanged.
Ningbo Yunsheng Group, a listed company producing neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnets in China, expects its net profit to surge by around 220-240% year-on-year (y-o-y) to over Chinese renminbi (Rmb) 500m ($75m*) for the first half of 2016, compared with Rmb 227m ($34m) in H1 last year.
