Strategic Energy Resources (ASX:SER) completes ground gravity survey at East Tennant
    • Strategic Energy Resources (SER) has completed an extensive ground gravity survey in the East Tennant Iron Oxide-Copper Gold (IOCG) province in the Northern Territory
    • Work was completed over three tenements and SER now has more than 3000 new gravity stations which it will merge with existing ones
    • This will provide the company with a comprehensive and high-quality dataset
    • Further, the start of the Mineral Exploration Cooperative Research Centre National Drilling Initiative (NDI) scientific drill campaign in the East Tennant is approaching
    • Work will be completed close to SER’s existing tenements and the results will be used to better understand the geology of the province
    • SER has ended the day a slight 1.2 per cent in the red with shares trading for 8.2 cents each

Strategic Energy Resources (SER) has completed an extensive ground gravity survey in the East Tennant Iron Oxide-Copper Gold (IOCG) province.

Work was completed over three tenements and SER now has more than 3000 new gravity stations which it will merge with existing ones to provide a comprehensive and high-quality dataset.

This gravity survey was co-founded by the Northern Territory’s Geophysics and Drilling Collaboration Program as part of the ‘Resourcing the Territory’ initiative.

“Gravity is a pivotal dataset to target IOCGs as they involve the introduction of iron-rich fluid into a host rock which increases the density,” Executive Chairman Stuart Rechner said.

“The gravity data will reveal density anomalies for drill testing. There is no historical drilling recorded on any of SER’s tenements,” he added.

Further, the start of the Mineral Exploration Cooperative Research Centre (MinEx CRC) National Drilling Initiative (NDI) scientific drill campaign in the East Tennant is approaching.

Work will be completed close to SER’s existing tenements and the results will be used to better understand the geology of the province.

“The East Tennant project is undertaking research to better understand the geology of a new frontier region beneath the Barkly Tableland,” MinEx CRC CEO Andrew Bailey said.

“Knowledge gained from the drilling and subsequent research will improve understanding of the geology in the Northern Territory. It will also improve understanding of the mineral, energy and groundwater potential of the region,” he added.

SER has ended the day a slight 1.2 per cent in the red with shares trading for 8.2 cents each in a $13.28 million market cap.
