something I always remember was going to do a building survey at a Catholic place - I didn't know what to expect more than it's a Catholic place
When I went into the 'ward' - I found dozens of kids lying in beds with a few nuns caring for then -
all of the kids had macrocephaly - or other diseases which gave big heads
I guess it wouldn't have been such a shock if I'd have known before hand - but, with no expectations aside from just a Catholic place - it was a surprise
my lesson was that there are places all around us that we have no idea exist - and also people - lots of people who live lives that we really have no idea of
