hard to compare a lot in the private sector - France has some sort of wage abuse using refugees - as does Oz

but, France certainly seems in everyday life to be less criminally minded than in Oz

but, like in Oz - there are areas and groups to stay away from - which obviously look like criminal activity

one thing is certain - everyone foreign who lives in France - Americans, Ozzies, think France is a safer place to be in. I think it's a reality as much as a perception.
