"In 2022, Michael Phelan, then the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission chief, warned as much as a fifth of disability funding in the NDIS was being abused by organised crime groups, prompting a government crackdown." . it turns out that was quite and understatement.

the system that replaced disability services in every state and territory has caused much to complain about with its enormous price tag and expectations of massive rip offs.

yes its incredibly expensive, more so that the aged pension or Medicare some claim.... and of course they're probably correct.

the rate of growth of the cost of NDIS has caused many righteous indignation.

"The watchdog for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) says criminal rorting of the social service is even worse than previously feared." as investigations into why the cost is so high continue.

one day perhaps we'll find out exactly why the crisis were able to infiltrate and exploit the NDIS. so far it can only be put down to very poor management.
