This post by Ski could certainly be an addition to the rumor mill chat. AL has mentioned magnets and a similar tie up with JARE (or any Japanese magnet producing firm) with Lynas could "possibly" be what AL was alluding to.
Seems a battle royale globally as all huge investments continue to arrive and stake their turf from - major global governments (massive subsidies and funding to ensure rapid transition) - the largest Tier 1 global companies auto-wind - batteries etc - new and past global magnet manufacturers and of course the RE miners and processors - well not to many of the processors at this stage.
