Another slow week. Two weeks ago I said I thought we were approaching a bottom. Last Week i said that China's Quota increases would null that. Since then I have looked at the last 4 Quota changes and price changes. I now think their effect is very limited short term but sets the long-term trend. There has been lots of talk by some about how prices always rise in beginning of year. Two years ago, this was strong, last year prices fell and have basically Stayed in a narrow trading range of 450 ~ 550 RMB / Kg WV since mid-March '23 for NdPrO. I Think that they will rise from current price but I doubt. we will see NdPrO go above 550 RMB by much. I think this is the range for a quarter or two which means very low earnings in AR. SAR is over we just wait for results now. In April we will have been in this range for a year. It is time for people to realize this is the range until something happens. With EV and wind growth slowing well below what was predicted just a year ago. And China raising production It will take something major to cause prices to rise. It may happen tomorrow But I do not know what it might be. Lynas, MP, China and others only increasing production only increases the problem.
