It will be interesting to see how much the increasing electrification of the Chinese economy has on RE demand. Consider that where ever copper goes, permanent magnets are not far behind. With that in mind, this observation from the International Copper Study Group may provide a pointer to the increase in RE demand.
“Data from the International Copper Study Group (ICSG) in March estimated that apparent refined copper usage increased 6% in January, entirely because of a 12% lift in demand in China.”
