FACT: The Chinese increased REE mining and exporting quotas. That's the opposite of balancing. Only a fool or a tool would decide that "since it's not as bad as it could be, it is good". Wouldn't want to see the investment results that kind of thinking generates, lol.

What is the current demand growth rate of magnetic metals?

    Some Excerpts after quick googling:

"That represents a year-on-year rise of nearly 6% from the total mining quota at 255,000 tons in 2023, when the annual growth rate was 21.4%. Yang Jiawen, an analyst at consultancy Shanghai Metals Market, forecast the total mining output quota this year to rise to 280,000 tons, a rise of 9.8% from 2023.
    "

"China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology raised 2022 quotas for rare-earth mining and separation to 210,000 tons and 202,000 tons of REO equivalent, respectively."

"A statement from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said the 2021 rare earth mining output had been set at 168,000 tonnes, up from 140,000 last year."

"The Chinese government has raised the quota for rare earth mining for 2020 by 6.1% year over year to 140,000 tonnes, according to a joint statement by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology."
"China lifted its annual rare earth output quotas on Friday by 10% to record-high levels for 2019, potentially easing fears the world's dominant producer of the group of 17 prized minerals will restrict supply. The full-year rare earth mining quota has been set at 132,000 tonnes for 2019 and the smelting and separation quota at 127,000 tonnes, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in a statement."

"The quotas, up from 120,000 tonnes and 115,000 tonnes, respectively, in 2018, are the "highest volume ever allocated" David Merriman, a London-based manager at commodity research firm Roskill, said in an email."

LET ME SUMMARIZE Chinese REE quotas:

    2018 - 120,000 tons
    2019 - 132,000 tons
    2020 - 140,000 tons
    2021 - 168,000 tons
    2022 - 210,000 tons
    2023 - 255,000 tons
    2024 - 270,000 tons

ONLY A MORON would look at this data and come to the conclusion that the Chinese Communist Party has decided to change its multi-decade development strategy and help Lynas compete and the world move towards global economic balance. Totally laughable conclusion by ausheds. Don't be a tool by supporting such silliness. To be civil, ausheds made his bed and I doubt he wants you trying to climb in it.
