You are correct he is unable to understand. I would recommend you forget it. For years he only believed that BEVs would help Perm magnet demand and loudly proclaim BEVs or Bust. Trash anybody that thought PHEVs or HEVS were part of the picture. Only now that BEV sales are well below what was expected (yes still growing but way less than forecast) and PHEV,s and HEV's sales are soaring does he say that he always supported PHEVs. What he seems to be incapable of understanding is we only grow when we admit our mistakes and analyze them do we grow. Only when we understand (quite different from believe) others ideas do we grow, Because in his eyes he cannot be wrong he will never grow. I point out his mistakes to help others. I have no illusions of ever changing his opinion.
For record in many years only BEVs will be made and sold. As I always said we will evolve into this and HEV and PHEVs are needed before it can happen.
