China’s Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Exports to Fall Sharply in October as Rising Prices Constrained Demand
The following is a SMM article about magnet prices and shipping volume. One key point I knew but think I was discounting is how much the Electric Blackouts are effecting Magnet production. All phases from carbonate to magnets need reliable power. Unexpected loss can be a disaster. Another is that prices are changing the demand for magnets which I did not know. Nothing that you can drive a stake in the ground with but it does add lots of color to the picture. Since this was written on Nov 3, I am sure they had a good idea what Oct shipments were.
