Silly Contrarian, This rubric is not about "DC-to-AC inverters", but air conditioning units; I already corrected First Captain ausheds on this point (he called them "AC inverters", LOL); please follow chain of command.

Global government will end up banning all non-inverter ACs at some point through regulatory pathway or executive order. If they have to subsidize, it will be money well spent because the utilities save a ton of money, not just the home or business. HVAC units are the number one single appliance consumer and the payback from efficiency gains is only going to become faster and faster.
